We found out about two weeks ago that we are going to be grandparents. While we are both excited that Katie and Andy are expecting, we think that we are too young to be GRANDPARENTS. I know it makes us sound OLD. I can't believe that at 39 I can be a grandma. The future aunt and uncles are very excited and can't wait to tend. Jay thinks that instead of being called grandpa he is going to go with major but where does that leave me? He has a lot more gray hair than I do. Anyway it is good news and she is due in December. (I had thought that maybe she would have learned a lesson or two from me but apparently not) Christmas babies are good but Christmas birthdays are not! I guess they will just have to learn on their own.

39? I think it's exciting! I think I can still wait awhile. Oh yeah, I don't get to choose, right?
Nice picture mom! That totally fits the two of you!
Congrats! That is great. You look so young for 39 MaryAnn--I would say 32 at the most
!
I am so excited for them! I hear that most people actually enjoy their grandchildren more than their own children, so maybe you have something to look forward to! Katie needs to start a blog.....
Congratulations! How fun for you to be young enough to enjoy your grandchildren. (Maybe looking at it that way can help.)
WOW! I haven't gotten on your blog for awhile and I have spent the last 15 minutes laughing and crying thinking of why I even thought I needed a boy. I guess I can just visit your blog and she what I am missing out on!!!
Congratulations! How did we miss out on this announcement? Was it because I have had a rather busy last five months and then we went to Europe? I know I vacillated over being called Grandma Billie or Gramma or Mema or some other such silliness, but when it came right down to it and I actually saw the little heart beating on the ultrasound, I didn't care what I was called. It has remained that way too, and as cute and silly as Earl is over his grandkids, I can well imagine just how Jay will be. Good luck!
Hi Mary Anne! I love your blog, keep it up!
