Warning: Capri Sun Drinks Can Be Dangerous When Frozen

I think I may have to sue the Capri Sun drink manufacturers for the omission of a warning label on their drinks. I was at work yesterday when at 4:10 my cell phone began ringing. I was busy and ignored it, knowing that the kids had just gotten home from school five minutes ago and were wanting to know if they could play. I was walking up the sidewalk when Karla came bolting out the door and said you need to call home, Nick is bleeding. I called home, Jake answered and said, "Nick's head is bleeding, you may want to come home, he's going to need staples" in a carefree manner. I grabbed my purse and was home three minutes later. Indeed he did need staples, so we took off for the hospital. Sam and Nick were having a fight (which Nick started), Nick got up to run away (calling Sam an SOB) when Sam hurled a frozen Capri Sun at his head. It hit its mark and the blood started to flow. An hour and half later with three staples in his head, we were on our way home. If people can sue for the coffee being hot at McDonald's and not being warned, I think I may really have a case. The good news? At least it wasn't a Saturday!

I was lauging so hard that my roommate asked what was so funny. I had to explain to her about your boys! I have already read the post and when I read it again it still made me chuckle.
I can hear Jake's carefree manner--you're really lucky that he called at all.

my name is Kevin from the U.K. i love capri sun...i have them all the time...i have them like 5 times a day...im a 26 year old man and have 2 kids...and think capri sun's taste amazing...i read your blog and was shocked at what u said about having a lawsuit...i freeze my capri's all the time and have them as an ice pop...now if your child can not control his anger and decides to throw an object at your other child that is your fault...nobody elses. if your child threw a hammer which would do more damage than a capri sun would u sue the people that make hammers...its common sense that something which is frozen will be solid and will hurt...it sounds to me like your son knew exactly what he was doing...if you had left your children with a responsible adult or installed some sense into them...maybe this would not have happened. now if you are looking for someone to blame or sue then blame or sue yourself because you are a bad parent...please do me a favor...look in the mirror and tell yourself i should have been with my kids...dont diss the capri sun...

very kind regards...

i'm afraid kevin from the uk must be an idiot. and a blog stalker. i would never sue capri sun because of my horrible children just like people who get hot coffee at mcdonalds are surprised when it is hot and then sue. the world is full of idiots.

We might as well sue to have freezer manufacturers put a giant warning, in crayon, on the freezer stating that if you freeze something then throw it at someone's head, it could cause injury.

I should sue to have your internet access revoked.

The only one who can sue anyone is Nick. Nick could sue the idoit Sam for throwing a frozen capri sun.

Actually, you cant sue them because they didnt sell the product frozen. Your sons froze it so, you should sue them!

Dear Anonymous-
Once again you are an idiot but thanks for the info over three years later. Has anyone ever heard of sarcasm because unlike 90%of the rest of the American population, we do not sue companies over dumb things our children do!

Tortured mormom mom, don't pay those idiots any mind...it's quite obvious that they only know how to recognise words, the understanding and comprehension part of reading they don't get. Anyway, this blog entry is hilarious, I couldn't stop laughing when I read it!!

Sarcasm rarely translates well in written format, unless all of your readers know you personally. Since I found this post as part of an online search, I know nothing about you, and therefore can't know when you are using sarcasm. I also think you should perhaps be a little nicer in your responses or take mormon out of your online name.

I am still shocked when people I don't know nor care about knowing are still commenting on this post! Perhaps, Natalie you should consider not stalking or commenting on blogs where you have no business being. Interesting how you leave no way to respond to you personally, on a no-reply email. I wonder to myself why so many people are so judgmental. Something to "ponder" on.

Maybe if you chose a more acceptable lifestyle and world view, your offspring wouldn't be so unruly and disrespectful. Ponder that.

I must say when I read this I was like what the hell is she going to sue for...she need to be whooping their ass!! But then I thought ok she she is just joking....I do agree some people may not have thought you were joking especially not knowing you...lol...once I did figured that you gotta be joking...I thought it reminded me of my childhood sibling fights....lol

Some people are just "special". There is no common in common sense these days. I do not know this woman or have read anything she wrote before. However, by the time I got to the end of her story, it was completely obvious she was being funny and in no way planned to sue anyone. As for calling her a bad parent, it is easy to judge someone from a distance. Boys will be boys. It is a saying for a reason. The best behaved brothers have done some pretty stupid things to each other. I want to say "thank you" for the laugh. It was a welcome surprise.
