This is going to be the first Jane Austen novel I read for anyone that would like to read along with me. I'm going to go to Barnes and Noble and buy it tomorrow so I can start it tomorrow night. I need to get going on it and finish it before my fall tv shows start because as anyone who knows me understands that I suffer from an addiction...I love tv! I hope this is worth it. I'm so glad we've decided to read these! I'll start Emma tomorrow too! Aren't we fun! Its a year of firsts! First time you walked the kids to school and first time reading Jane!
It's a good one to start with, especially since you are most like Emma. I love this one! I've read it already, but when you get to the ones I haven't read I'll read along with you, so keep it posted.
And, if you like The Tudors tv show, you may like Philippa Gregory's historical fiction novels. She's one of my favorite authors.
I need to find myself a copy. I may be ordering one online considering I'm housebound, vehicle-less, imprisoned in my own home... you get the idea.
I'm up for reading along too. Although we both now it will take me a lot longer than it takes you. And what's this, the first time walking the kids to school? I'll bet Jake liked it. hehe
Oh yeah-I have seen the gweneth paltrow version of Emma. We should get together and watch it after the book is complete. I'll bring the treats. Or hey, we can do it at my house.
